DRUM LESSONS

Rock, Pop, Jazz, and Classical style drum lessons!

About Our Drum Lessons Program

Drum instruction is offered in a private setting in 30, 45, or 60 minute lesson intervals on a weekly basis. Our drum lessons can be scheduled anytime on first-come, first-serve basis. We teach students of any age, skill level, and musical interests. Our Drum Lessons Program is designed to instruct beginners, intermediate and advanced students ages 3 and up with an interest in music ranging from casual to serious. A variety of different styles can be incorporated into drum lessons based on the student’s interests. We do our best to accommodate everyone’s schedules with evening lessons for busy professionals, lunch time lessons for senior citizens, or earlier day time classes for young children. All drum lessons are scheduled by appointment and can be signed up for all year round.

Instructors and Types of Music We Teach

Our instructors are professionals in their field and teach a variety of different styles and skill levels of music such as classical, pop, jazz and rock. We teach our drum students using a combination of major teaching methods and traditional technique. Our drum teachers tailor the methodology to each student’s personality and goals. So, whatever your goals are, our drum teachers are here to help you and customize a lesson plan for you. Above all we focus on developing the skills that are most stimulating to each student and strive to make our lessons fun and exciting experience for each student.

Performing Opportunities

QCMS sponsors several events each year to encourage students to set goals, practice, and celebrate their accomplishments. Solo recitals are held three times a year in Spring, Fall and Winter. Each Recital finalizes one of the three sessions at QCMS allowing students to set and accomplish the goals for each session.

Practice and Parental Support

Sufficient and proper practice is necessary to ensure progress. Most children require parental guidance in organizing their time to accomplish the goals set during lessons. We believe in the importance of the triangle:  student, parent, and teacher  — all working together. All students are different, and it is our belief that all children can learn to play drums with the proper guidance and support. Developing a love of music in addition to making music is our ultimate goal.
