About Our Piano Lessons Program
Piano instruction is offered in a private setting in 30, 45, or 60 minute lesson intervals on a weekly basis. Our piano lessons can be scheduled anytime on a first-come, first-serve basis by appointment. We teach students of any age, skill level, and musical interest. Therefore, our Piano Program is designed to instruct beginners, intermediate and advanced piano students ages 3.5 and up with causal to serious music interest. A variety of different styles such as classical/traditional, pop, jazz, rock, Christian, and blues are incorporated into piano lessons based on student’s interests. We do our best to accommodate everyone’s schedules with evening lessons for busy professionals, lunch time lessons for senior citizens, or earlier day time classes for very small children. All piano lessons and keyboard lessons are scheduled by appointment and can be initiated all year round.
“Music lessons have been shown to improve a child’s performance in school."

Instructors and Types of Lessons We Teach
Our instructors are professionals in their field and teach a variety of different styles of music such as classical/traditional, pop, jazz, rock, Christian, and blues. We teach our piano students using a combination of major teaching methods including Faber, Suzuki, Bastian, Alfred and traditional technique. Our piano teachers tailor the methodology to student’s personality and goals. Hence whatever your goals are, our piano teachers are here to help you and customize a lesson plan for you. Above all we focus on developing the skills that are most stimulating to each student and strive to make our lessons a fun and exciting experience for each student.
Performing Opportunities
QCMS sponsors several events each year to encourage students to set goals, practice, and celebrate their accomplishments. Solo recitals are held three times a year in Spring, Summer and Winter. Each Recital finalizes one of the three Semesters at QCMS allowing students to set and accomplish the goals for each term.
Practice and Parental Support
Sufficient and proper practice is necessary to ensure progress. Most children require parental guidance in organizing their time to accomplish the goals set during lessons. We believe in the importance of the triangle: student, parent, and teacher should all be working together. All students are different, and it is our belief that all children can learn to play piano with the proper guidance and support. Developing a love of music in addition to making music is our ultimate goal.
