We are family owned music school. We strive to provide the highest quality of music education in every instrument we offer. Unlike some other music schools, our focus is not on the size of our student body but on the quality of our education. What separates us is that QCMS does not simply rent its Studio rooms to just any teacher that comes our way. Our instructors are handpicked by QCMS Director and undergo rigorous screening and (upon acceptance) training. We invest time and effort in finding the best Instructors as we know that they truly make all the difference in the quality of music education you will receive at QCMS! We draw our staff from the best and brightest of top music schools and conservatories across the world. We take pride in selecting instructors that are not only highly qualified but also passionate, enthusiastic and energetic about teaching their students. Positive energy attitude is our motto at QCMS. It guarantees to keep your and/or your child’s attention during your and/or their lessons while making each lesson fun and enjoyable.

At QCMS we provide comprehensive music education. Unlike other music schools, we teach our Students not only how to play the instrument but also how to develop an appreciation of music that would last them a lifetime. To achieve those results there are many factors involved. Firstly, we make sure that each Student is paired with the right instructor. Good chemistry and understanding between Student and Teacher in one-on-one music lessons is crucial.
Secondly, we strongly emphasize on music fundamentals and make sure that all lessons are tailored to each student’s interests and goals. Lastly, we handpick our instructors to assure the highest quality education at QCMS. Our teachers are dedicated to nurturing their student’s abilities and helping them realize their fullest artistic and technical potential. Most importantly, each and every student we have is a priority to us.

Queen City Music Studio is located in the heart of Mt. Lookout/Hyde Park (Cincinnati area), just a few miles from Downtown Cincinnati, Montgomery and Anderson Township, QCMS is an ideal location for residents all around Cincinnati. Due to its location, QCMS is especially convenient to those residents of Mt. Lookout, Hyde Park, Anderson, Mariemont, Newtown, Milford, Madeira, Indian Hill, Montgomery, Blue Ash, Mt. Washington and Terrace Park. Parking is available in our private parking lot in front of the Studio.
Recitals are a crucial element in musical education. We strive to provide our students with opportunities to perform on the stage frequently. Performing is a way to reward each student with the commitment and work they put into learning the instrument. It is also a great opportunity for parents and families to see the progress their child has made. However to some performing is fun, to others it could be a stressful experience. At QCMS we will also teach you how to overcome stage fright and enjoy performing on the stage. We believe that frequent public performances help students overcome a fear of public performance. We offer minimum of one recital per each semester (Spring, Summer, Fall Semesters) and provide many other performance opportunities to students seeking more frequent stage appearance.
Also, unlike other music schools in the area, QCMS offers music lessons at the comfort of your own home. If you are seeking a professional and positive teacher to provide music lessons at the convenience of your own home you are at the right place. Our In-Home Lessons are designed for busy parents, adult students and young professionals that do not have time to commute to lessons every week. We know how precious time can be therefore we created In-Home Lesson Program that saves you commute time by providing lessons in your home. Please note that In-Home lessons availability is limited and In-Home lessons are $10 extra per each lesson.
We offer private music lessons for children with special needs. We are fortunate to live in a world where children with learning differences have equal access to education opportunities. Each special needs student is different, unique and requires a child-specific approach to learning which QCMS is proud to offer.

EXCUSED absences by a student (illness, medical emergency) will have a make-up scheduled by QCMS with the regular instructor OR a substitute based on availability. UNEXCUSED absences by a student (school events, sporting events, birthday parties…) will have a make-up ONLY at QCMS’s discretion. Make-up lessons may only be awarded if your instructor has 24-hour notice of your absence. Whether an absence is excused or unexcused shall be determined by QCMS, in its sole discretion. To discontinue lessons and discontinue charges to your credit card, notify the office via email (info@queencitymusicstudio.com) in the first week of your last month. QCMS operates year-round and does not close during the summer. We are happy to offer vacation make-ups. These lessons will be given after you return from vacation. We will TRY to schedule make-up lessons with your regular instructor, but another qualified QCMS instructor may be used as needed. Tuition is still due during the month of your vacation. We do not offer lesson holds.
QCMS is not responsible for providing before and after lesson care for students. Parents of students under the age of 8 MUST remain in the lobby during the lessons. Students are not to be left at the studio for excessive periods of time before or after their lesson. Children must wait for parents to pick them up inside the studio. Please do not ask your child to meet you anywhere else. QCMS assumes no responsibility for children who leave unaccompanied.
Parents are always allowed to sit in on lessons. A less distracting option would be to observe the lesson through the window in the door. The student is able to focus on the instruction better this way. For lessons in your home, an adult from the family must be present to supervise all lessons.
I give permission for the image, video and/or audio recordings of me and/or my family to be used by QCMS for publicity and advertising purposes.
In case of severe weather, visit our website home page. Classes will not be made up due to cancellations from severe weather conditions. The studio will close for all Level 3 snow emergencies. Lessons can be provided online in the event of a snow emergency.
Failure of QCMS to insist upon strict performance of any of the terms, conditions and covenants hereof shall not be deemed a relinquishment or waiver of any rights or remedy that QCMS may have, nor shall it be construed as a waiver of any subsequent breach of the terms, conditions or covenants hereof, which terms, conditions and covenants shall continue to be in full force and effect.
